What has happened?
In April 2026, Starlink updated its public documentation regarding the use of the Starlink Mini terminal on aircraft, following on from the introduction of new plans for General Aviation use in April 2026.
More recently, Starlink added a new page to their web site:
"Introduction to Starlink Aviation" (click here to display it)
On this page, there are two new and very relevant sentences about the General Aviation Starlink plans:
- "For Starlink Mini use only"
- "The Starlink Mini must be used as a carry on device and may not be mounted on the airframe"
Agile Sky is an operationally proven, professionally designed and engineered, permanent and invisible, installation of a Starlink Mini satellite terminal on the Pilatus PC-12 airframe.
There is an obvious conflict here between our proven solution and this change in the Starlink Aviation operating rules.
In response to this change, we have paused the completion of the STC for Agile Sky, pending discussions with Starlink regarding these new changes to their service operating rules.
We are obviously keen to find a path forward with Starlink and we will endeavour to do so.
